Hola,

it has been a (too) long time, but now, finally:

introducing midiphy zetaSID, a eurorack-based take on TK.'s fantastic sound engine.

@T.K also did some testing and helped with a code tweak - thanks a lot for that!

As it is (mostly) patch compatible with the MB6582 Lead and Drum engine, it should be possible to load your old patches and enjoy them on your modular system.

Update: we’ve just launched a community patch library for zetaSID:

It’s a place where zetaSID users can freely download patches and share their own creations with the community. We’ll keep adding to it over time, and we’d love to see your patches up there as well! The patches should also be mostly compatible with MBSID v2 (i.e. MB6582), so you could give it a try! :slight_smile:

To kick things off, check out this incredible tune by Avrilcadabra, a very nice supersaw and trancegate patch, built entirely with the internal zetaSID wave sequencer and a little help from the Dirtywave M8:

zetaSID v1.5 release is here :slight_smile: - it adds the MBSID v2 bassline engine. Next to classic MIDI inputs via nexusMIDI, it can also be clocked via eurorack clock triggers and patterns can also be selected via CV input.

Red Means Recording took an in-depth look at zetaSID and also created a free patch bank of 55 zetaSID patches - which should be compatible also with MB6582 - enjoy! :slight_smile:
