Hi all, this is my first post but i have followed the forums for about a year now.
I have build the sammichSID, which is a clever little box.
But i have some encoder problems.
When i turn the encoder too fast it jumps up and down in values.
At lover speeds (very slow) it works fine, but it makes using the machine a pain.
I have tried all the things people have written about in this forum, but without luck.
Do anybody know what could be the problem.

likely a broken encoder…
unlikely a encoder with contact to the heatsink underneath (when pressing a little harder)…
I am also thinking that. Do anyone know which encoders that is compatible? I have no clue even about how they work

I got the new encoders and it worked fine! BUT today i dropped the unit on the floor :no: and it landet face down. Now the encoder behaves badly again, so i have to replace it. What type of encoder would i need? Perhaps a more sturdy one?
I can’t recommend a better encoder than the Bourns ones I use… which are Mouser part 652-PEC16-4220FN0024

The picture is wrong. The part number is copypasted from my BOM spreadsheet.
It might be cheaper for me to just send you another one, unless you are ordering from Mouser for other parts you need. Just email me if you want (another) replacement
