Possible new Feature for MIDIbox LC ??

Hi Folks,

while reading the feature list of the big WK Audio Console I found one feature that would probably be useful for all us LCers:

If you press a button (Rec/Solo/Mute) for longer than 200ms the button “toggles”. Means that the function is only active, as long as you press the button. If you press the button shorter than 200ms you have your normal function.

I think, this is a nice feature which can be implementet in the LC.

So now, all you programming Gurus:

I don’t have a clue where to start this. Maybe someone has the solution already and can point me in the right direction.

I know, TK would have this in less than 10 minutes… but where would be the fun then … ;D

Any remarks?

Ive have this feature with my LC & Nuendo, so I think its already implemented  *doc sowas vom hinterm Mond lebt  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Really? It’s already integrated? Then sorry.

Blame it on th monday morning coffee.

Doc

edit: Blame on me. I tested it and it worked. Puh. I’ll mark this experience for my further comments

  • Never again monday morning - :-X

Never run past at a pub at sunday evening  ;D  ;D

… so where is the feature implemented? In the host (nuendo) or in MIOS?

Edit:

No one? Doc, MTE… it sounded pretty clear to you two, so I think you have the answer…?

It sounded pretty clear for us, because we’ve tried it in Nuendo (MTE) and Cubase (I).

But what we both don’t know: Is it in the host or in MIOS…

It may be in the Mackie protocol, also ? Who knows…

My 2 ct: It’s already implementet in the Mackie protocol…

MTE is going to test it in his other host applications soon.

MTE is going to test it in his other host applications soon.

Ive done this now…In Reason & Vegas it wasnt available, so my thinking is, its implemented by host.

Thank you guys!
