mnmlCore

Using a 405 instead of 407 makes no sense to me. 407 costs just 2€ more.

Your idea from beginning…

I just found this:
https://www.mikroe.com/mini-stm32f4

which is exactly what I wanted to do.
Then I don’t need mnmlCore anymore

fof me a bit overpriced. for its components. still focosing on topic… thinking of what to do with usb or sd when useing  a midi breakout board making then lesss sensd to sepsrate when  needing it anyhow on back of device… in sense of keep houseing minimal)special when use in rack… will check that when some rain fall down here - till then enjoy the waeather ahh.

yes for sure! MikroE is expensive in general but the work is done here.
I will not waste time around design, at least in the beginning. it will save time, adding this proc to my MIOS first and in a second time I will optimize the board for the MIOS. I don’t want to buy this each time I need it.
It’s a good start and the format(size) I need.
I already ordered one, shipping is expensive too.

Try to reuse Andy’s USB and SD Cards maybe, just change the main board. And MIDI8 or legacy MIDI_IO Module

I received the boards, I paid extra 25€ for customs, it seems Serbia is not an European country Grrrrrrr
… this is the first reason why I will quickly redesign this board, the second reason is that it works fine.

Have a good day

Bruno

Hello,

So I persisted in this direction, here is what results.
I took your notes into account, it may be able to meet your requirements too.

I designed a DIP40 PCB with the necessary MIOS32 features on board. The dipCoreF4.
It matches the main functions and pins of a MIOS8 PIC, I think I will try to put it in my SammichSID change the LCD for an ssd1322 and see what happens
It also fully matches the MIOS32 ports and features with some slightly changes. It’s a very small Core you can put everywhere easily.

I designed the mbhp which comes with it. The dipBoardF4.

Size is 65x46mm.
It is compatible with Andy’s wCore USB and RES-SD modules.

Check the dokuwiki pages and tell me if you want to try it.

For the name, I’m still hesitating with dipCoreF4 ?!

Cool development!

If you like, I still have some of the USB PCBs around (maybe res-SD too). All wCores come with the USB attached; there’s no current plan to sell them separately.

Ahhh! Totally forgot this. I will draw new modules too… different but still compatible…

Yes I planned to sell the board, but for the moment it’s a beta, we can test thé proto together, just want to check some stuff before order thé board

A short 3D view of the dipCoreF4

Thank you!
New name, new silkscreen;)

I will open a dedicated thread for the ensemble. I need feedback and beta-testers…

M16 Interface, stack-able, to connect on a SPI port, provides 16 MIDI IO and 48 GPIO

OHA - you got pm

definitve in for a beta! also the m16 when the time comes (may use the fpga also for other interesting code…i know it may be a small one).

m16 is pretty finished too

I’m on the last check and aesthetic details…

This stack is 1xOTG USB port, 1 LCD port, 3x SPI(2 in 5V), 2x I2C, 2 Channels ADC, 1x MCAN or MBNET port, 48 GPIO and 18 MIDI UART !!!
All in:

While being a pacifist, i’ve got to say, that the M16 Interface wiki graphics is awesome! Well done!

Many greets,
Peter

Yeah, and the feature list makes me go whoa!

Looking forward to this one
