LCD: Picvue 40x2 w/ Samsung KS0076B00 controller

Hi,

I’ve just been offered a pair of the above LCDs (model number PVC400201AGL04) at a very good price, but the seller has no other information about them, and the Picvue website is no help either.  Can anyone tell me how to even begin working out if they are useful?  Yes, I have tried Google.

Hi,

I recently found one 4x20 display with that controller for a fair price and while I was in search of information about it I found that almost!!! :(. I think the problem was with line addresses or smth. But it should be not very dificult to implement some changes to 44780 driver and it should work. Here is a datasheet for it:

The protocol is identical to HD44780.

All what you need to do is to adapt the “Y Offset” values. A table for different display types can mostly be found in the applications which get use of the 2 additional lines (example: see the main.asm header of MIDImon or MB64)
