LCD doesn't display, CORE works !

… core is working properly, send correct midi data but LCD doesn’t diplay anything… when i set contrast to maximum, i see ONE line of black rectangles, not two..

Hi,

have this 2 out of 3 times when programming a pic for the first time. Just write the firmware again until the LCD is working… If you are using the in-circuit programming connector, try to diconnect all other leads while programming.

hm.. nothing… 5x reburned & LCD display nothing… but maybe is problem that I have connected only AINX to core & not DINX (I use midibox64 firmware)…

Try to connect *only* the display and check the wiring and soldering, i had the same thing (one line of blocks) due to a bad contact somewhere.

If everything is ok you should see something more…

YES YES  YES, DISPLAY IS WORKING !!!  ;D

i’m stupid & blind lammah - bad wiring on display (pins 8<->5 & 9<->4)
