Laser cutting videos

Few videos of laser cutting the buttons and sub-panel…

So nice !

I think its time to build a DIY-Lasercutter for the community

Maybe there are some pages available ?

Starting google…

Sweet - that is way faster than with a saw and a file, too ;D

What is saw and file? ;D

I’ve seen instructions on building something out of old scanners. I think this is for low powered lasers for cutting paper or burning wood (if you’re lucky). Am I correct in assuming that for a propper cutter that you would need an oxygen supply as wel as a high powered laser???

I am a member of  Laser Community (www.laserfreak.net) and have many prof. Showlasers at home and work with it on many events with a prof. Company (Mayday,Germany, Nature One etc.). And the Laser´s on this Vid are very very danger!! When i see right, it has a 650nm positionlaser. The Cut-Laser was a co2 laser. Thats right? The power of this, i estimate, was 15-30 kW pulsed??

This Machine cut your hand in a vew milliseconds!!! And your eyes was destroyed alone from the reflection of this laser! And the reflection was invisible!!! It has a Wavelength around 10µm?? Don´t make a DIY Cutting Machine or experiments with Lasertechnic!!!

A comparison to a standart Disco-Showlaser it has a power from around 5-30W (not kW!!!). And it was so danger that you can with 5W a cigarette ignite in a vew of seconds!!!

To this Vids: It was a great machine! And i want a company in my near to make this too :frowning:

Not sure how you mean, any powerful laser could be dangerous.

It has, but not sure about wawelength

Yes, 30W CO2.

Exposing hand to the laser beam would be same as exposing it to the circular cutting blade. Why should one do that. I never heard anybody had accident with laser cutters, as you open the cover only to put in or take out the material. Plastic cover protects from reflected beams, so I don`t find it so dangerous.

Don´t make a DIY Cutting Machine or experiments with Lasertechnic!!!

Making laser CNC would not be so easy, but making CNC reuter for milling is not hard at all. And, it can be more dangerous than laser!

People are lighting cigarettes these days with laser from DVD burner. There is a step by step instruction about it somewhere on the net.

The one you see on the video is friends laser machine and it isnt so great. It is some Chinese made. Engraving resolution cannot be changed and dont have a mesh, so small parts just cannot be cut. On the video where orange pieces are cutting we have to put some lexan underneath so we can cut it, so that is why that much smoke comming out of it. Acrylic dont make much smoke but it smells bad, especially extruded acrylic.

I almost always use some Taiwanese laser… 25W, that is much more precise and work better than the one on these videos.

Dude awesome. Thanks for the vids!

NP. I thought it would be fun to see it. I was wondering how it work before I have direct access to the machine.

…or just a simple CNC-machine. I’ve been thinking about something like that already months ago. I’ve even figured out some methods how we’ll pay such a machine.

And as a location I’d suggest a place between Munich (TK) and Nuremberg (AC). (and that’s not because I’m living in a place right between those cities  ;D)

Only 30W!?! Wow . .. I think it was more . . . Ok in the Metall-Laser-Cutting it was very more *g

I normally use 25W machine for all soft material like acrylic woods rubber. It is sufficient for all my work. I would rather like it has bigger working area than power.

I dont know what rating of laser    used by steel service Im using from time to time, but probably one zero more as they cut steel thicker than 5mm.

Matrix loves Sasha… :-*

Not the first time Sasha makes it into Matrixsynth… does he read the MIDIbox forums or does Sasha pimp his work?  :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, Matrixsynth are not so picky and they publish alot and everything, so I don`t believe they loves ME that much. :)
