I heard that Stanford University was doing some interesting work. I went over to visit them and they had rather large computers that churned away for 10 minutes and played one note.

I was surprised that Peter Vogel hasn’t learned from the mistakes of those who have made fools of themselves before him (most famously probably Bill Gates with the 64k RAM comment) when he said this:

There will never be any chip you can put in your TV to do this because it’s too complicated and expensive

I suppose their equipment were not ASIO compatible by that time yet ;-)  Nice article though, thanks for the link!
