So it seems that I also do not really need the LCD on the core for the SID either.

Is this right

If so then what do i do with these left over connections from the PIC.

I don’t really need the buttons either do I ?

Further to my questions about the SID connections :

Ok junction 2 goes to 7

But… on the SID there is another connection called MU

which comes from the 595 pin 14.

Could you tell me where this connects on the core ?

Hi Ian,

currently, neither the LCD, nor buttons or pots are supported by the SID firmware. Of course, you see some messages on the display and the buttons seem to trigger some functions, but these are for my private use (debugging functions) and therefore not documented…

In the last posting there was a mistake: the correct connection from core to SID goes from Core:J10 to SID:J2 - both are 8-pin headers (not all pins are used), so you cannot make anything wrong. :slight_smile:

If you don’t use the original MBHP modules, don’t forget to add pull-ups on Pin RA4 and RD1, otherwise the firmware could crash.

TK  I am using logic 4.8 and the enviro for the SID won’t

load.

Could you save a version in something below V 5 and bang it on the site

Problem solved - have taken the Logic Environment and saved it as a v4.8 LSO - just so PC Jimmy can have some fun … even though he’s out of date with Logic!  ;D
