Almost put the MB-6582 voltage regulator in backwards / MB-6582 Voltage test

Thank Wilba he’s got a bunch of pictures of his correctly assembled baseboard!

Maybe put a clarification on the parts list or construction guide?

I’m measuring 13V at J25, when it should be 9-11V.

I have not finished populating the base board yet, just the resistors, IC sockets, and PSU section.

Is this a big enough problem to go back and troubleshoot? All the rest of the voltages check perfectly.

No that’s normal if there’s no load… that’s the input going into the 7809 voltage regulator. Once there’s load, you’ll see this drop to 11V.
