i’m thinking of ordering 50 odd, of the new ‘recessed type’ (Drehknopf DK11-170 A.6/4,5 vertieft (recessed, black)) to replace the crumbling knobs on my Waldorf Xtk.
They both share the same D-shaft dimensions. The DK11-170 is 17 mm high and 11 mm wide, the DK16-190 19 mm high and 16 mm wide.
Btw, the DK11-170 have a better handling, they aren’t as “slippery” as the DK16-190 IMO. Even though one might assume otherwise because of the bulges. But the DK11-170 material is harder, therefore the better touch.
I dont know about the Rogan stuff, they look OK (and the mold quality is not that great, lots of flash, not nearly as clean as I would expect at the price) but how they attach is an absolute nightmare with that metal bushing. I am not even remotely comfortable with the amount of force it takes to get those on and even less comfortable with the prospect of trying to get them off. I’ve blown apart encoders trying to get Albs parts off and the Rogan stuff is 10x worse.
I still vote Sifam for small diameter parts. The textured finish is great and having the end cap removable/replaceable makes it really easy to go from pointer-less to pointer and keep the same look for under a buck each. $4.77 a knob @ 500 pcs is for crazy people who believe the knob will make it sound better. Intellijel use Sifam knobs if you need an example

Yes, the Sifram look nice. Wider than 11 mm isn’t ergonomic on the SEQ4. And some groovings in the knobs should come handy.
Status of this bulk is up and running. If Syn-Fi signs up, the domestic shipping costs are covered and everybody will receive their knobs as soon as Albs delivers.
Sorry, the bulk signing ended May 13th and all orders have been dispatched. You could PM Highcooley, if you could join his switch order at Albs. If an agreement with Albs is reached, I could do the shipping for both of you. Germany->World is much more affordable than Germany->Switzerland->World.
