Which pin goes where?

hi,

This is probably one of the dumbest questions but I seem to be a bit lost. I am not sure which pin on the potentiometer or sliders go where on the AIN. The sliders have 4 pins labeled 1 -3 (two of them being labeled 2). The pots just have three pins with no numbers? How can i test which one is which? Any link to info would be appreciated.

Outer  pins should go to “+” and “-” and inner pin to AIN input

In the type you mention, 2 is usually the slider. 1 and 3 are the ends. A quick check with the ohms range of a testmeter will sort it out. In this case, 2 would go the the AIN, and 1 and 3 to positive and negative, depending upon which end was which.

Check with a testmeter - they are usually already connected.
