I saw that the MB SEQ V3 page said to use the 18F4620, I have a PIC18F4685 with MIOS already on it. Is it possible to use this PIC? They seem comparable, and the PIC18F4685 has more program memory.

No, unfortunately a PIC18F4685 won’t work as it has less RAM than the PIC18F4620.
