Wanted: YMF262 + YAC512 for MBFM

Hi there,

I’m new to this forum but I’m interested in building a MIDIbox FM. I’m located in Australia and am wondering if anyone has a spare YMF262 + YAC512 combo that they are willing to sell me. The chips can be desoldered or new old stock, just so long as they are in working order.

Welcome aboard mate. You can pick up a used Sound Blaster on ebay for like 5 bucks :slight_smile:

Oh my bad! I didn’t realise there was a waiting list for #3.

Wilba’s chips be the shiny dope NOS variety, and around the same price. Definitely put your name down.

I haven’t actually finished building an OPL3 module with the chips I’ve sold already… and since Sasha had trouble with the ones I sold him, I may not run another bulk order until somebody confirms these chips actually work!

Have you checked eBay lately? Any SoundBlaster cards with YMF262 chips on them are hard to come by these days and/or they cost a fair bit more than 5 bucks. I’ve put my name down on the OPL3 bulk order list, so it’d be great if some of you could confirm that the chips from the last order actually work! :slight_smile:

I have a box ful of crap. Anybody want to make an offer on my VESA WinTV card. Does anybody still remember VESA cards? Am I even old enough to remember VESA cards?
