Good question, since I thinked that it is good price.
In regular shop I seen twice bigger price. Have you better price?

I buy one mounth ago vfd 2x20 for over 40euro, but used - some pixels aren`t bright like others.
Now I see my too fast mistake. But If you have acces to less price , then I see my mistake twice.

that´s not expensive at all. I don´t know this model, but a similar new VFD from Noritake or Futaba costs at least 60-70 Euros. (and it´s worth it in my opinion, I really love VFDs 
)

oh, sry, just thought its a standard lcd but now i think i see the difference between them. here are just the active dots lightning and no background. Am i right ?
right. it´s a similar technique like in CRT TVs. A (flat) vacuum tube with light emitting dots. They´re used e.g. in supermarket cashiers points. Tech details and a selection of really nice models at http://www.noritake-itron.com/
