Unable to Change Patterns

Hello…

 

I am having issues changing patterns… Probably more of me not knowing how the sequencer works… it seems I can save patterns but I am unable to open a pattern other than the one playing… 

 

Examples..

 

G1T1 pattern A1 - Mbase kick named 4x4

G1T1 pattern A2 - Mbase kick named Weez Jackin

 

With pattern A1 playing I will push the pattern button … Under G1 I will use the encoder to change from A1 to A2… When i do this it the display flashes between A1 and A2 with an asterix showing… I cant figure out to selct the new pattern… Everything has been saved under the same Session… Maybe the patterns are not sitting in the right directory?

 

Enjoying the sequncer just need to get my head around a few things having used a Machinedrum for so long…

The pattern “flashing” and asterisk is a normal behaviour while the sequencer is running if you have enabled on the Pattern Change Synchronisation.

(see Util -> Opt -> Options 2/13 and 3/13)

The pattern will switch at the measure you’ve set up, by default it’s each 16 steps = each bar.

Think ensures that the pattern changes on the next bar instead of abruptly.

 

If the sequencer is stopped, the pattern should change immediately.

 

It’s like the pattern chaining on the Machinedrum.
