Testing CORE Rev3 - not sure if it's OK

Hi,

I’ve only just got around to assembling my MIDIBOX CORE Rev3 I bought in 2005.

I’ve put it together and I’ve completed the ground tests - checks out OK.

I’ve tested +Ve and with a 9V battery on J1 I get 5.06V on all test pins apart from pin 11 on the MIDIBOX PIC (Bootstrap V 1.01B)

On my PCB this pin is only connected to one of the jumper pins in J5 - so I don’t know where it’s going to get +5V from.

Any help with what I should do next would be appreciated.

This is from TK’s voltage test document. Take note of the bold parts:

Pin 11 should not be connected to J5… Please check : mbhp_core_extract_measuring_vdd.gif

Hmmm I guess I was counting wrong.

All the test points you gave me check out.

So I’m good to go?

How do I test it once I put the chips in?
