Synthetic sinew type material ?

Hiya,

Sorry if the title doesn’t make sense but I am trying to find some tech I saw a couple of years back,it was a strange looking substance that reacted to voltage by contacting,zero voltage resulted in the material going back to ‘normal’ state whilst applying small voltages made the material contract.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or have any idea wtf I am on about?
