Strange pot behavior (jittering...)

Hi there!

Just finished my m64, But its not working :frowning:

When I turn the first pot the display shows for example:

1- 1 flash 2 flash 3 and so on…seems like its sends some Midi events even if I dont turn anything…(the midi led constant lights)…

After a while the led go out..

And some pots doesnt reply at all.

Seems like the pot who does work works for the one who doesnt.

It is bad soldering???

To long cables…

Correct me if I wrong:

When 1 pot is wrong then you got the jittering???

And the strange behavior

The pot is something like this:

      -        +

      |    |   |

                                                         

And the middle one to the ainx #1 to 64

Star like connection (the - and the +)

Question 2:

I only use one J7 of the AINX4 to all the pots is that wrong??

Should I leave the second J7?

I have 4.7V between + and the - on all

Did anyone understand this??? I wouldnt :slight_smile:

just did the test prog for the ainx * 2 and its seems like some pots dont work at all an some switch between 2-4 diffrent pot numbers like 56-60 for an example… :-[

Hmmm!

Solved one problem! Seems like bad soldering on the AINX4, the J6 wasnt OK!!! ;D

But I still got problem with the second AINX and the rest of the 32 pots!

Think I have to use the J7 for the power.. Right??

Hi Christoffer,

the second AINX4 has to be connected to exactly the same pins like the first AINX4, expect for the analog outputs of the AINX4 module - they have to be connected to J5:A4-J5:A7
