Hi folks,
I can confirm that the latest FW update from ST, M16 works great for the “new boards” MB997D
No need to remove the resistor and bridge from the board to power it from the Micro-USB 
Get the latest Software and Driver as well as the update here: http://www.st.com/en/development-tools/st-link-v2.html
Install the Driver first, then the Software, then with the board connected with the MINI-USB / ST- Link, run the ST-LinkUpgrade app. (Through the STM32 ST-LINK Utility it only suggest to update to M15)
