Some help needed for programming

Hi !

I’m rather new to this board and I’ll begin my own surface control.

I did a lot of VB programming in the past… but I really don’t know where to start in this project talking about programming…

I want to build a 16 motorfader surface with 16 x 4 knobs/ledrings, a MTC display, a couple of bank shift buttons, a joggle and the play, stop, etc.. buttons. For this I think I’ll need 2 CORE.

I also think about adding 16 leds vu-meters (build like the ledrings) maybe on a seperate CORE/MIDI port to avoid too much MIDI messages.

Could anyone give me some clues ? I’ll order all the boards from Tim (SmatchTV).

I believe you are headed on the right track :slight_smile:

2 cores (8 Mfaders each core)

1 AIN     (64 analog knobs)

1 DIN     (All button needs)(Encoder jog wheel)

1 DOUT  (LEDs and rings)

You could also make it 2 on all and seperate the load on the cores.

I am unsure yet of MTC on the MIOS, I have yet to build one myself.
