SmashTV: PCB design software

Hi,

just wondering what PCB design software you use? Your boards look really descent.

Tony

Cadsoft Eagle.

Is there anything else?    ;D

Back to the kit mill…

I think he was wondering about the cool 3d renders of the board

I once worked with ultiboard/multicap, it was also possible to generate 3d images but these programs are quite expensive for personal use .  I guess 3d rendering is not possible with Eagle or Rimu PCB?

I’ll probably buy Rimu or Eagle, eagle looks a bit more professional?

Eagle is pretty easy to use once you get into it, and the non-profit license isn’t too pricy. The smaller board non-profit version is completely free, and many things can be done with that.

The 3D renders are another package… I’ve got it installed I know…what’s it called… Oh yeh Eagle3D

It converts the Eagle layouts into POVRay files for rendering.
