SC Pro-One clone

Have anyone in this forum have seen, heard, or read anything about a Sequencial Circuit Pro-One clone??

I’m looking for the actual CEM 3310 IC schematics..

OOps..

yea, file that under a big “DUH” for me doc. I have a copy of that datasheet right here on my computer. SO, the schematic doesn’t look too ugly at first glance, I don’t think it’ll be that big a deal to get a discreet version that behaves similarly.

Now it’s just a matter of getting the 3340’s. Synthtech has 'em for $40 a pop. Would be nice to find a place that sells them cheaper in quantity..

Yeh it sounds fat but so do lots of synths… I’d much rather a few of the oscillators and a few of the filters in modular format, than a real pro-one… Why bother cloning something you can make even better than the original?

CGS is good quality stuff for sure, and he has alot of unique modules. Check out Blacet and MOTM as well. MOTM is ending it’s kit line in a few months, but he still has stock (and he’ll sell just a PCB too)

What would be handy for us is an easy way to get the modules to use +/- 5V for CV… They all seem to be 12 or 15V

the fatman from PAIA :http://www.paia.com/fatman.htm use a VCO based on a simple 555…

You ought to check out paia.com’s synth kits - the modular 9000 series and the Fatman, as well as their Theremin and other stuff. From the front page, click on site map for a full listing of their products.

Since I don’t speak nor read German, I can only listen and look at those nice synths.

Questions:

Do you have to order the kit of SEMtex in order to build that synth?
Can you at least just order the schematics? or is it free somewhere?

Don’t say “semtex”, it’s a product to make bomb! the CIA will think we do detonateur with just a CORE and a Dout module (Maybe the next MIOS toy of the week!! ;D)

I swear, ever since I joined this forum, I’ve learn so much about the inner workings of the synths.

I figured, before I start building my own synth, I should study more about it first.
