Sammich n00b Voltage test Q

Hey,

So I just finished Step 3 from the build guide (basically just soldering all the parts up to the Heatsinks) and I’m trying to do a voltage test before I go on. But I have no idea how :frowning:

I have my Multimeter on 10-DCV and I touch the Black (negative) probe to the J2 and the Red to the J2 +5v and I get Zeros. I try it with a ton of other combinations and I never get anything. I’m doing something wrong but I have no idea what.

Please excuse the utter n00b in this post and help me out :slight_smile:

Okay, a shot in the dark here:

Are the voltage regulators mounted?

Is the power supply plugged into the wall?

Is the other end of the power supply plugged into the sammich?

Is the power switch mounted?

Is the power switch turned on?

Thats kinda like what I had when I was building mine. Not sure if its the same but have a look at the trimpots and be sure they are good maybe wiggle them with your hands and test for juice. Try and find a DC power supply to test also, keep looking for any bridges. Good luck.
