Rotary encoder for midiboxSID

Hi,

do you know if it is possible to use a different rotary encder for my project? I find one one voti.nl web site but i need only 1 rot. enc. so i have to pay more for shipping cost (i’m Italian) than for item.

So i need to know if there is a more common item to use ( common—> that it is possible to buy in to a local elec. shop)

Yes, it’s possible.

If you look around the forum/uCApps.de site, you will find references of the different encoders. Buying one, that’s verified to work in the MIDIbox is the easiest way to go-- (but, there are 3 different modes for encoder handling, so about any encoder should work)
