its a mighty fine place for mass gatherings of rastas & their little bongo circles.. without anyone noticing ā€¦plus bonus free sauna :slight_smile: ā€¦and yes you really can walk under a cooling from anywhere on the periphery ..its on massive stilts :wink:

Notice how the chimneys are funnily distorted because the plant is located just where two photographs were stitched  :). Also, on the left hand side you can even look into some smaller cooling stacks.

If you scroll a bit to the north, you see where the coal comes from and what that does to the landscape. Itā€™s worse if you zoom out a bit more and scroll to the eastā€¦

I go to Fullmoon festival (www.fullmoon-festival.com) which is set in an ex military airbase just outside of Berlin. Everything is deserted, if you walk in the woods you see the odd fire hydrant and statue, then suddenly you find yourself walking along a street. Thereā€™s lots of good exploring to be done!

Nest to the run way thereā€™s a path in almost a D shape. The green bumps in there are huge aircraft hangersā€¦ one housed the chill-out stage last year

I have a lot more exploring to do this yearā€¦ Thereā€™s a whole new block of hangers that I didnā€™t know about and a few more bits and pieces in the woods too.

Well, thatā€™s because

  1. they dig where the coal is

  2. they dig where people have been re-settled already

Actually, here you can see how it was before and how it is now: Google uses two photos with a different date, so in the upper part they have already started mining, while in the lower part of the picture you can still see the fields. Strange time-warp experienceā€¦

what a place to live, great for a lilā€™ party & working with power saws at 4am without rousing the neighbours :wink:

mind i will soon enough be living in the middle of nowhere with some mates.. no more worrying about the 3am mixing sessions :slight_smile:

Itā€™s a nice place to live, but itā€™s my Dads farm and heā€™d a bit uptightā€¦ Not even allowed a couple of friends round campingā€¦ really annoys me. I have several friends with rigs, know loads of DJā€™s all we need is the land to have a partyā€¦ Grrrrr!

Tis good being able to have my music on as loud as I want when no-one else is in though :smiley:

Crop circle advertisingā€™s not that uncommon.  I wouldnā€™t be surprised if someone was sent out to make that just before the next photographic pass.
