Ratcheting Sequences

Hi Forum,

 

while using the Seq V4 - has anyone come up with some ratcheting sequences, like TD/KS use?

I wonder if there is, aside from the FX->Duplicate option, any possibility

within the SeqV4 to let sequences interact with each other.

If anyone sees what im up to and has an idea floating around - please

drop it here!

O.k. I have not yet builded my seq, but I’m a bit familiar with oldschool sequencing ..

Ratcheting is normally done by using gates with different speed for the same sequence that runs at the same speed … this is easy with cv / gate synths … via midi it is a bit more difficult ..

In the midibox manual I saw that there are multiple gate / trigger layers per track

The trigger layer can selected with the TrgSel (F3) button, or with the optional Trigger Selection buttons which are part of the MIDIbox SEQ V4 frontpanel.

Maybe that would be a possibility …

Yes, can be created very easily with a parameter layer assigned to Roll2, no need to use another track.

There is an open request in the wishlist which would allow similar effects:

this is a good way to do it. I tried it along with the nth-Parameter Track you just implemented.

Along with that it is a great thing :smile:

 

Nonetheless, i think about a way to let tracks interact with each other. I have not found a solution or

possible workflow for that. But i try to find one. Maybe a good idea about that will come up in the future.
