Hi everyone. I’ve got stuck in this problem building a midibox64.. So, i’ve burned the Mios and the Midibox64 but when soldering every Pot to the Ain module i still got lots of random mesages coming from it. I checked every conection and still don’t know where is the problem. btw.. do i need to modify the main.asm number of Pots conected? I’m using only 21 pots in a single Ain module.. Please help ???
From http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp_ain.html:
All unused analog inputs have to be clamped to ground (Vss), otherwise your MIDIbox will send out a lot of random MIDI events!
Yes.. I have all conections connected, to the pots and the remaining to ground.. Still i have random messages
Oh, well, that goes the obvious answer :).
I’ve never built or used an AIN board, but I can throw ideas around. Are the random MIDI messages on CC’s that DO have pots connected, or are they from ones that don’t exist and the AIN pins are currently tied to ground?
I’n not sure about that but in Midi-ox i get messages from CC: Volume and CC:brightness… Any clue?
The Volume and Brightness messages are generated from the analog inputs for the second AIN module (which you unusued in your case)
Yes.. I have all conections connected, to the pots and the remaining to ground.. Still i have random messages
Really all remaining pins? Please compare it with http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/auaimbctg.pdf
Best Regards, Thorsten.
All right!! it’s working now.. wel.. Almost.. I still get a chorus depth random message.. i think it’s a bad soldering. Thanks
Do you mind me asking- what caused the Chorus Depth random message? Am dooing a similar projrct to yourself and have the chorus depth problem,
Thanks,
Mark
