Queue transpose to beginning of pattern

Is it possible to “queue” a transpose so that it only triggers when the pattern restarts (goes back to step 1)?

Don’t think so, you’d have to use an additionnal transposer track for that.

How do I make changing patterns happen only when the current pattern is done playing? Is that possible?

You should probably read the manual once again. In your case, look for the first 3 options in the options page, which allow you to specify a number of steps before a pattern will be switched, on a per-session basis.
