PSU volatge test

So I have just performed the suggested voltage test in the 6582 pcb contruction guide. all voltage is correct.

I have a question though, which is due to my ignorance in electronics. The question is: I noticed regardless if the power switch is in the on or off position, voltage reads the same on all check points.

should volatge read zero if power switch is turned off or not.

With the voltage switched turned off you shouldn’t read any voltage. If you have no ICs stuffed it may take quite a while for the voltage to drop to 0V though as nothing is really pulling any current and the capacitors may take a bit to discharge.

gotcha, thats propbably it…I have no ics in yet.
