PSU question (again !)

Hello,

I have a little question about the OPL3 psu.

For the Core modue 7-10V is recommended for the 7805 to allow it to work properly.

For the SID module 6581 15V is recommended for the 7812 ( I imagine 12V is required for the 7809 of the 8580 version)

So why in the opl3 psu 12V is OK for the 7812/7912 ?

Why in this one, we don’t need to have higher voltage before the regulators ?

OK i think i’ve just read it.

12Vac => 17Vdc after the rectifier so it’s OK.

Does that mean that if i enter with AC in the other PSU, 9V is OK for the 7809 and 5/6 V is OK for the 7805 ?
