Question 1-
Could i use these to power my SID and Core?
http://www.circuitspecialists.com/prod.itml/icOid/2072
Question 2
If a can, would i use 2?
Question 3
What type of transformer (wall wort) would be reuired to power them?
Question 4
Could I use 1 wall wort to power both of them?
Question 5
Would there be any reason these power supplies would create ground loop noise?
I built the optimized PSU and it is noisy, granted i may have not constructed it correctly- I am looking for a power supply option that has pre-made circuit boards, so that it is not as messy, and hard to trouble shoot-
Thanks for any replies!!
Question 1-
Could i use these to power my SID and Core?
Yes.
Question 2
If a can, would i use 2?
No. One running at SID voltage (with SID regulator bypassed) and regulator at the core regulating down to 5vdc (with small heatsink)
Question 3
What type of transformer (wall wort) would be reuired to power them?
Like they didn’t tell on that page?! 16VAC wallwart (or 16-18VDC wallwart..)
Question 4
Could I use 1 wall wort to power both of them?
Next question.
Question 5
Would there be any reason these power supplies would create ground loop noise?
It’s up to Your wiring. If you don’t create ground loops - there are no ground loops. Hah!
I built the optimized PSU and it is noisy, granted i may have not constructed it correctly- I am looking for a power supply option that has pre-made circuit boards, so that it is not as messy, and hard to trouble shoot-
And I would rather debug the optimized SID PSU, than build a new one. It should not be that noisy at all.

Thank you very much-
sorry for not paying attention to the input voltage part-
I think i will debug my optimized PSU first as you suggest-
FYI- I took my Optimized PSU apart today, and carefully rebuilt it on a breadboard-
It works fine, and is quiet- Hooray-
Thank you for your help… and your patience!!!
Now to carefully build it on a PCB-
Ah, Great!
Sorry - I sounded a bit cranky..
