look at the right one.
more space, simple solder.
i know, it’s like an incest.. ;D
hi
i am already using this system !! it s fast and space saving
I am using the higher method but I bend the pins 90deg. so it is much lower. Those machined headers are pretty expensive in my country and that is only reason I don`t use them if I need much of them (any MB project)
i use bending Pin too.
the other things bad is that you quite always broke the one near the cut.
True, and I hate it!
I found that using regular pin headers like the ones in smash’s kits along with some nicer crimps like the tyco cst-100 work very nicely and take very little room. I just add some heat shrink to each connection so the crimps don’t ever touch each other.
I’ve been using standard crimps and headers. Doing what I see here doesn’t seem to offer much in the way of speed or ease, but it does offer much for space-savings. I will use it in my mb6582 for connecting the control panel with the mainboard. I can’t bring myself to permanently solder the two together because I know eventually I’ll want to take the whole thing apart for some reason.
