OT: impedance conversion

Does anyone know a good (DIY/commercial) alternative to the Radial X-Amp?

This thing converts a low impedance line level signal to a high impedance (high-Z guitar) signal… which i guess is what i need to be able to use stompboxes/guitarpedals as insert or send/return FX.

more info about the X-Amp:

thanks in advance for any help!

cheers,

Hastings

Remembering this topic from a way back as interesting one..

Check Ken Stones CGS module:

It’s intended to interface synth modules as guitar FX, but I think that using it other way around is OK too. Just injecting line level signal to output attenuator -> Guitar FX -> input amplifier output is then line out.

I’ll have a look. Thanks!
