i am searching for a green negative display with 40x2 characters for my second SEQ V4. I found one at mouser that fit my parameters but i didn’t found if the NT3881 controller of this optrex C-51850NFQJ-LG-ACN
display is compatible to the HD44780 standard display driver.
Does anyone of you used that display allready or isn’t it working with this application (SEQ V4)?

Those are fine, I use them all the time, I actually used those exact green ones on my SEQ.. Just make sure when shopping at Mouser. you go by the part#, not the picture when picking one out. The one in the link is a good example, the pic shows a white on black but the description is for a green one. I always check the Kyocera site, they are always correct there.. . Find my thread about improving the contrast on those, I had a really hard time getting them to look good (the backlight was shining through and they looked blotchy) so I made some changes to the circuit which improved things a lot
