Only getting .3V when I should be getting 5 (MB6582))

Hi. Good to be back! My internet was down for a few weeks.

Alright. I pulled and installed correctly all the resistor networks and gleefully hit the on switch and…

Nothing!!! :sad:

I checked the voltages and now I’m only getting .3V instead of 5.

The PSU is giving me 6V but by the time it gets to J3 it’s only .3V.

In circuit the diode gives the right readings and everything looks to be soldered correctly…

Any thoughts on what to check next? I wasn’t doing any fiddling around up in the power section and I was getting 5V before I pulled the resistor networks…

Can you bridge the traces between the resistor networks?

When I was cleaning up I scratched a few places and the solder mask scratched off. I noticed that there was metal under it. Could this have anything to do with my voltages?

It is possible to bridge “anything” if you use enough solder :slight_smile:

It may be a good idea to take some photos of the back of the board and post them here. It is difficult to diagnose without seeing exactly what you are seeing.
