Newbie..yamaha dsp, c-console, cakewalk

VERY new to this midi business, however I have been checking out this wonderful sight for quite a while.

I would like to build a control surface that could both operate my 2 yamaha 2416’s via c-console, and my cakewalk sonar recording program(at the same time?).  

I would have no problem putting the physical things together, but the implementaion is daunting.

Can anybody tell me if the MIDIbox64 platform will easily work for this?  Do I need to steer clear of the MIOS?

Hi!

You have no reason not to go for a MIOS based project.None! It needs the same effort for you to build, but it is more versatile and future expandable!

You will use the midibox64v2 application and you can controll anything that is midi controllable!
