Just looking for a good starter project…was hoping to find plans to build a simple transport controller (play/stop/rec/etc…big buttons…ya know) to control Sonar Pro 4.0 . Any recommendations?

You will have to compile the app yourself though (no ready made config for your setup) but its not hard if you read all the instructions…
I’m soon to build a similar controller for my Fostex 24 track. Tired of having to navigate UI layers to arm tracks…

A standard Midibox64 can be assembled without any pots if desired (thus no Ain board required). You can have up to 64 configurable midi buttons and LEDs.
