Newbie firmware/project question

I’m planning to build the following modules:

+  MIDI-to-CV for controlling my PPG synth from my MIDI controller and sequencer

+  MIDIbox SID

+  MIDIbox SEQ for arpeggiation and realtime stuff

Is there any overlap in the firmware here, or am I looking at three separate boxes?  I did note that there are CV out hooks in both the SID and SEQ, but I usually would want to run separate melodic lines to the PPG.  I can’t tell if the firmware allows, for instance, two MIDI channels run into a SID to be assigned one to the SID synth and the other to CV out.

Any insight or suggestions appreciated!

Hi Matt,

the MIOS concept doesn’t allow to run applications in parallel - it’s just a small PIC and not a multitasking capable computer like an Apple or PC :wink:

So, the easiest way is the use of seperate boxes
