New Sequencer in construction

Hey all..

I’m helping a mate with his sequencer, and we got this panel back from the laser cutters..

I’ll post more pics when it’s stuffed etc.. It’s going to have all panel mount buttons - It’ll be pretty much bullet proof.

Regards

Mike

One more pic.

Nice!

Some info about the case would be great

oh.. forgive my manners.

It likes long walks along the beach, and candle lit dinners.

It’s looking for a friend, with possible options for a stronger relationship.

It was drawn by me using AutoCad & made by Rick Tait at

www.lcne.com.au

He’s located in the outer reaches of Sydney. (Australia)

Including postage, the case cost about $140 AU.. (I can’t remember exactly – somewhere between $120 & $150)

It’s made out of 1.2mm galv coated mild steel.. It’ll get painted white with nice timber sides.

The buttons are black, with built in red LED’s.

As mentioned in my other ‘work in progress’ post for my MB-6582, If anyone here is going to use him (In Australia or even NZ) make sure you mention my name (Mike) and this Synth DIY forum.. I would be good if we can get a good relationship with him.. maybe even, for some projects, look into a bulk order if the right project comes along..

I’m looking at re-building one of my sequencers with him and also getting the face for mu UREI 1176 clone done via him.

Regards

Mike

Looking good. Did you band it by hand?

Slick!

Most def wanna see more!

No, I got the laser cutter (Rick) to fold it.

Cheers

Heheh, it is amazing what you can do with lasers these days.

I use mine to cut lasers.. Is there anything they can’t do?

I tried cutting the atmosphere with a laser, but a knife worked better…

Needs sides, but fully functional.

Another picture via my mate, who is loving his new sequencer..

We’ve just gotta finish the 2nd midi board, and the J5 gate outs, which are wicked for triggering the SH-101, Juno 60 and any other bit of analogue stuff lying around.

Mike
