My old MIDIbox SID rebuild inspired a little theremin app, and it just hit closed testing (would love a few hands)

Some of you have seen me poking around lately reviving a MIDIbox SID I hand-wired about twenty years ago. I transplanted an ESP32 onto the old SID R3A board, kept the analog 6581 and its filter path exactly as they were, and gave it a WiFi web UI on top. It is all clean-room (register behaviour from the public MOS datasheet, none of TK’s code copied), and getting back that deep into SID guts genuinely rekindled something for me.
That rabbit hole is what inspired my next thing. I wanted a way for anyone to make that kind of sound without a soldering iron or a rare chip, so I built a little light-controlled theremin app for the phone, with a SID/chiptune flavor baked in. Wave your hand over the light sensor and it sings.
It is now in closed testing on Google Play, and that is where I could use you. Google needs a handful of real testers to opt in before it can go public, and honestly a few of you jumping on would push it over the line fast. When it launches to the public it will be $9.99, but everyone who jumps in as a beta tester gets a free copy for good, my way of saying thanks for helping push it over the line. And no ads, ever.
