Here is a few pics of my midibox sid. The heads are the buttons. The rotary encoder and volume are from a AKAI s950. I tried to upcycle as many parts as possible.

note, 5v power for the LCD and 12v power for Core and Sid boards. 5v power for LCD helped me keep the temperature down on the voltage regulator on the core board.
