Mounting buttons and LEDs to frontpanel

Hi guys,

I finished with my first Midibox16 last week, and now I am planning something bigger:

I am going to use an old Video recorder as a case.

Now my questions:

  • how can I mount the red buttons shown at the bottom of the midibox to the panel, the buttons should look like these:

The same question with the LEDs - how can I mount them WITHOUT using these LED holders:

It should look like the LEDs shown on Thorstens SID using the C64 case on the main site:

How are they mounted? Are there maybe pics from inside of the case?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Regards,

The leds can be either mounted on some vectorboard which is screwed to the panel or glued to the pannel with hot glue.

Here some pictures from MIDIbox LC which should help:

I’ve also some pictures from my MIDIbox SID and will upload them tonight

Best Regards, Thorsten.

Oh yes, thanks for the pics, that´s what i was looking for. Looks as if you used the same Reichelt buttons I want to use…
