given the new ROHS rollout, what happens if one were to repair an old solder point and the two styles of solder end up mixing.

Is this likely to cause reliability issues? What about production line soldered joints, are the lead free lines running at higher temps?

Oh boy … ROHS !!!

I hate it.

I bought some new ROHS tin and tried it.

After that I bought all “old” roles of non ROHS tin I could get.

For my purpose I don’t like this new tin…

Those good old shiny spots on the boards look much better than the new ones.  ::slight_smile:

… as far as I know, it should be no problem in the future, to still get non ROHS soldering tin.
