MIOS8 and MCP4822

Hi TK, all,
I’d like to connect some cheap DACs to an old MIOS8 MBCV1 project for some basic CV control. I noticed that the MCP4822 is supported in MIOS32 and discussed here:

But I don’t see much info about MIOS8. Is it possible to use the MCP4822 with the older hardware?

It isn’t supported yet, but I could add this option without much effort.

Basically the same driver like for the MAX525 could be used, only the word format is slightly different.

So weird :slight_smile:  just the other day I ordered some of these, wanting to do a simplified 
(cheap) MIOS8 CV1 to drive a Arduino based Eurorack project, Talko LPC speech synth

So, here is my first pass at a dual MCP4822 DAC schema. Pretty much just doubled up TK’s design. Will be laying out the brd and doing a run @ OSH Park soon.

Any feedback would be welcome,
