MidiboxSID in a modular synth?

Hey Guys,

This is my first post.

I was wondering, and I’m not sure if this has been done before, if a MidiboxSID could be built with cv ins and outs.  Like what this guy did: http://home.earthlink.net/~erinys/fracsid.htm . I think it would be very nice to implement this into a modular synthesizer.  To have all the oscillators, filters, and envelope generators ins and outs to the front panel.

I know how to build and solder, all of that, but I’m not sure about coding.  I’ve never done it, and don’t know how it works.

Has anyone else on here done this before?  Where should I start?  What questions should I be asking?

Unfortunately he never posted the source code which is very disappointing :frowning: But maybe if you email him…

This will take some level of programming skills though …

The guy you linked to uses MIDIBox hardware and code, which he’s customised, so yes, it’s possible :slight_smile:
