HI,

http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp_sid_old.html
In particular i have found this two source. The connections of SID & Core showed in the first link are different from the connections in the socond link.
What of these 2 schemes do i use to complete (now that i have the time!!) my MidiBox SID V2?
i’m pretty sure the optimised version is the one to go for.
That depends. If yu bought your boards from SmashTV or Mike, it should say on the board something like MBHP_CORE_V2 or MBHP_SID_V3. This indicates which versions of the connection boards you have, from which you can find out which diagram to follow. What do yours say?
I bought my board from a guy in Italy who made the PCB for me.
ALL my SID and CORE board show : V2 (MBHP_SID V2; MBHP_CORE V2)
So? where can i found the pdf for the interconnections i need?
tnx
The one which is showed at the http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp_sid_old.html page under the headline:
MBHP_CORE -> MBHP_SID_V2 interconnections
Best Regards, Thorsten.
tnx TK!
ok that link works for one to one interconnections.
But for multiply interconnections? I need to know the exact interconnectsion between 2 Core modules & 2 SID modules ![]()

There isn’t a big difference, just duplicate the picture (both cores are controlling the SID modules independently)
Thereafter you can do the MIDI link and power connections like explained in the optimized PSU schematics
Best Regards, Thorsten.
hi tk,
tnx again!!! ![]()
my SIDs have both the 1Mhz osc.: i have to remove them a make this connection >> “SID clock to Core::J7:SO PIC Pin #17” ?
Yes
Best Regards, Thorsten.
Yes
Best Regards, Thorsten.
:‘( :’(
i hoped you said “NO. it’s not necessary. You may choose. If yr pcbs have mounted the oscillator you can keep it”…
…but if not…i’ll remove the OSC.
tnx again Thorsten ![]()

It’s better without the external oscillator, see also http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=5748.0
Best Regards, Thorsten.
it’s a simple fix, one wire to the one of the pins on the core (J7) to one of the legs from where the old osc was (look at the trace, it goes directly to the CLK pin, its pretty obvious)
