MIDIbox SID - Caoss Synth

Hi, sorry for the translation.

Once again amazed at the applications of MIOS !!

In this case use Version 1.73 because I had the Pic 18f452.

Synth Caoss Description:

  • 2 octaves, an octave for the motion sensor and one for the “touch”.

  • 4 Scales: Major, Spanish, Pentatonic Major and Minor Pentatonic.

  • Tonic selectable

  • Selection of 8 patch.

  • Send CC event (17) with motion sensor.

  • Adjust the sensitivity of the touch screen.

Video, first test;

Question: is there any problem in using this power supply?

  • Tonic selectable

Mmmmmmm…

Tonicccccccc.

What type of Power Supply are you using?

Could you give us more details.

Thanks Homer! I have a beer for you!

The “change of tonic” is not seen in the video.

Disclaimer: I do not understand programming with MIOS.

I made my own code in "C " (CSS). If I may, I can upload it.

An idea to build it with MIDIbox:

Led Matrix with DOUT (SID Matrix), 4 Pin (DOUT) for the polarization of the Touchscreen and 1 Analog IN (input from the touchscreen). Touchscreen 5-wire has 4 pin polarized (digital) and an output analogica.Y MIOS program!

The power supply is the one seen in the video is from an old external disk or something, me and 12 Vdc 5Vdc supply and stabilized (no use 78xx), we do not feel noise. My idea is to mount MIDIbox SID in that cabinet. Thanks!

Well if it hasn’t blown up your sid yet, then it should be fine!

It might be safer to use a 78xx though, just in case the voltage fluctuates.

Now I can listen to the SID, I will not lose!

The cabinet is very appropriate for a Control Unit (Step A), just missing the front panel … but the power supply makes me wonder ..?
