MIDIbox of the Week (MIDIbox SID of Ixox)

Hello,

After a big break doing other stuffs, i finaly found time to finish my mini midi box SID.

Much less nice than i expected, bad varnish, box not totally closed, flashing screen etc…

Anyway it works and i am happy.

I can control every parameter rather quickly  ;D

May I be the first to say:  Nice work!  From conception to design to completion.

I’d looovve to see the yellow leds being illuminated buttons.

nice work anyhow

Thanks a lot !

I agree that many things could have been better/nicer.

I just wanted to add that this is my first DIY project and i could mod it a little thanks to the excellent Documentation !!!

Xavier

Hello Ixox,

Respect – Since its your first DIY-work. Don’t be dissapointed. It looks good and if it sounds good, what more can you expect. I’ll bet, the next DIY-project wil be absolutely perfect!

Good work,

I want build a small sid synth, mind if i copy your layout? Could i convince you to share your firmware?

Thanks…

My goal was to have everything public in the spirit of all those midiboxes.

So i documented as much as i could here :

A compiled firmware would be useless because my Dout and Din wiring is very bad and weird…

But i see no problem in sharing it.

If you have any question, don’t hesitate.

Hey Xavier, nice job! You did it finally… I almost forget about you.

I would also like to make one of these after I finish what I already started… my “To Build” list is constantly growing.
