Here are some first impressions from David’s (Dawe) MIDIbox LC.
The panel is made by a big machine using a laser to cut.

Yeah nice layout
Laser cutting is done on a flat panel, you should be able to get a production engineering shop to do it, normally need to give them a .dxf or .dwg file (autocad) as the machine is CNC
